Whether you are just staring a business, furnishing your home office or setting up a temporary office in a new location, you recognise that you have to purchase office equipment. Purchasing office equipment is a significant investment that requires thought and planning. First off, consider your equipment needs: • Computers and laptops • Fax machine • Photocopier • Computer printer • Shredder • Computer supplies • Office furniture Think about how you will be using your office equipment. Ask yourself these types of questions for each piece of office equipment. For example, for a shredder, consider the volume and sensitivity of the documents you are shredding.
Shredder spectacle as trees go for recycling
IT'S BEEN a green Christmas for hundreds of Coventry households after they took the opportunity to recycle their trees. The Big Shred event was held at the city's War Memorial Park on Saturday. The annual event is always a big hit because it gives people a chance to see the tree shredder in action, as well as pick up hints and tips on recycling. Recycling experts from Coventry City Council, organisers of the event, said this year's Big Shred was as successful as ever. As well as being a safe way of getting rid of the bulky and messy trees, the pulp created by shredding will have a variety of environmentally-friendly uses including making many of next year's Christmas cards. .
